Description

We will be making a Bear Paw quilt as we continue to build on our quilting skills.  The focus will be on making accurate 1/4 seams, squaring up blocks, and half-square triangles.  Join us if these are skills you need practice with or if you just need a few evenings of sewing for fun. 

Class is 5 weeks long.  Wednesday evenings from 5pm-7:30pm starting April 17th through May 15th.  Cost is $100.00 Teacher - Sharon Hale

BEAR PAW CLASS SUPPLY LIST
Size 36x48 without borders (3x4 12 inch blocks)

Each block takes 1 six inch strip (6x 42in) of background fabric and 1 six inch strip of your focal fabric

If you wish to make all 12 blocks the same, that will be 2 yards of each fabric. Buy extra yardage if you have an idea what you would like your border to be. I will have options as we get closer to that step.
***You can make more blocks if you wish, just use the 6 Inch measurements for each additional block
Sewing machine, thread, seam ripper, rotary cutter, you favorite ruler, and other basic sewing supplies. You will not need your machine the first night as we will spend that night preparing the blocks)

A smaller size ruler, 6x12 can also be very helpful for marking and cutting smaller pieces
Marking pen or pencil
Sandwich sized Ziplock bags to keep your cut block pieces together

We will spend the first class cutting, so you will not need your machine.
